Welcome to something totally new: The Figurementors Magazine: Hellboy by Alfonso “Banshee” Giraldes! This starts a new series of special editions that focus on the very best Artists and the most iconic pieces of figure Art.

Here we present the full process behind Alfonso’s tribute to Mike Mignola’s Hellboy. The figure, a privately commissioned sculpt by Joaquin Palacios was painted by Alfonso Giraldes for a private collector. It won Best of Fantasy at the 2019 Edition of the Monte San Savino Show.

It was really interesting listening to his feedback on our work and how to improve it.
