Due to popular demand, Will Brightley returns for a second Weekend Workshop in March 2026!

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or trying your hand at painting for the first time, this workshop is designed to inspire creativity, develop new skills, and most importantly, ensure you have fun. Prepare to explore diverse techniques, express your unique vision, and connect with fellow figure painting enthusiasts. Grab your brushes, unleash your imagination, and let’s create something beautiful together!

Over the weekend, you’ll focus on mastering fundamental techniques, painting different materials, and tackling Non-Metallic Metal. A special emphasis will be placed on achieving realistic skin tones—learning to analyse and replicate the subtle nuances of skin colour, and understanding the vital relationship between light and colour to elevate your painting skills.

This two-day workshop is designed to be both informative and practical, with a focus on (but not limited to) FUNDAMENTALS, NMM and SKINTONE.

Students will be painting a figure which is included in the ticket price (figure to be confirmed but will be different from the first Workshop). Black Sun Studios will provide homemade sandwiches, bottled water and coffee free of charge. You will also receive a link to DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE COPY OF FANTASY EDITION ISSUE 48. In this issue Will writes up his process for creating the stunning Grey Knight based on the iconic artwork of Paul Dainton. Along with this you will find a WORKSHOP INFO SHEET/TICKET.
