This weekend workshop is designed for hobbyists of all skill levels eager to elevate their scenic basing skills. Oliver will guide you through the fundamentals of creating detailed and captivating display scenes for vignettes and dioramas. All necessary materials, including plinths, figures, pine bark, a variety of basing materials, small animals, pigments, and glue, will be provided. You will create and take home your own stunning scenic base.

- Constructing the Base with Bark – Learn how to create a realistic and balanced composition using natural bark materials.
- Painting the Base with Acrylics and Pigments – Discover techniques for adding depth and colour to bring your base to life.
- Choose from a selection of figures – The figure(s) will be the focal point of your vignette using effective composition.
- Adding Plants & Creating Natural-Looking Grass Tufts – Explore methods for crafting lush foliage and realistic grass tufts to enhance your scene.
- Base Completion and Final Details – Finish your project with decorative elements such as mushrooms, waterfalls, and animals to create a vibrant, natural setting.
